- To promote and strengthen the midwifery profession in Namibia
- To promote and strengthen evidence based midwifery practice through research
- To promote and strengthen the education of Midwives and to facilitate continuous professional development by providing varied educational opportunities
- To strengthen the voice of the Midwife through improving their knowledge and skills
- To strengthen midwifery practice by collaborating and partnering with relevant organisations and stakeholders
- To improve the outcome for women, their new born babies and families in Namibia
